At Cowie® Technology Group Ltd we recognise how our business can negatively impact the environment. This is why we take our responsibilities to the environment and to sustainability so seriously and are searching proactively to find ways to reduce the effect of our activities on the environment.

  • We monitor our environmental impact continuously and do everything we can to reduce it in line with our set objectives.
  • We minimise waste by evaluating operations and ensuring they are as efficient as practicable.
  • We minimise emissions wherever we can through the selection, use and source of power requirements.
  • We actively promote recycling and re-use, both internally and among our customers and suppliers. PTFE products are inherently designed for repeated, long-term use.
  • We meet or exceed the environmental legislation that relates to the company.
  • We champion responsible purchasing and supply chain management. Raw materials must be free from toxins and additives, such as PFOA and PFOS.
  • We encourage the use of sustainable transport and minimise business-related travel through home working, using online systems for meetings and training, and promoting public transport and vehicle sharing.
  • We encourage a paperless workplace. Printing is discouraged unless absolutely necessary.
  • We ensure the use of 100% recyclable packaging wherever possible. Plastic packaging must be at minimum manufactured from 30% recycled plastic. We foster continual improvement through company and employee initiative.

Cowie® Technology Group Ltd participates in the Supplier Leadership on Climate Transition (Supplier LOCT), an online learning collaborative that provides guidance on measuring and reporting on greenhouse gas emissions and setting science-based targets. This program is a collaboration of global brands and suppliers committed to carbon emissions reductions.

Through our participation in the global LOCT collaborative, we have developed a Scope 1 & 2 and a Scope 3 green house gas footprint that meets GHG Protocol and Science Based Targets Initiative standards and achieved both the ‘GHG Scope 1 & 2’ and the ‘GHG Scope 3’ badges. These badges signify our shared ambition to reduce GHG emissions and alignment with industry standards.
